Ibiza Town

Ibiza Town is a city located on the southeast coast of the island of Ibiza in the Balearic Islands. The city, which has a population of 37,408 (2002), is the capital and most populous settlement of the island and is widely known for its extravagant nightlife, with its giant clubs attracting visitors from all over the world.

Sights and Attractions

Ibiza Old Town - The Old Town, also known as Dalt Vila, was founded over 2,500 years ago and still has an ancient feel. With a lively harbor, narrow cobblestone streets and whitewashed houses, the atmosphere is wonderful. Despite gross development elsewhere, much of the Old Town ’s medieval character has been preserved. The area is full of markets, bars, galleries and shops.

Paseo Vara de Rey - This Avenue is one of the major landmarks in Ibiza Town , featuring many impressive shops and designer clothing outlets. It has a number of excellent bars and restaurants, which make it a very popular place to visit in the evening time. It is always an exciting and busy area to hang out in.

Weather

With shelter provided by the Sierra Blanca, the town experiences average daily temperatures of 19ºC, while seeing some 320 days of sunshine per a year and less than 50 days of rain.

Winters in Marbella are mild affairs and rainfall is relatively infrequent, with only occasional showers between the months of November and March. Summers are warm but by no means excessively hot, with occasional showers.
