BA Offers First Flights At Heathrows Terminal 5

Mon, 16 Apr 2007

Air passengers are being offered the unique chance by British Airways to be part of opening day operations at the new 5th terminal at London Heathrow .

BA, the leading British carrier, has put 75,000 tickets on sale for travellers and holidaymakers to snap up. The tickets will be for the 380 flights that will be departing from the £5 billion terminal next year on March 27.

The new state-of-the-art terminal, which will be used exclusively by BA, will include exclusive facilities such as a brand new baggage delivery system, a suite of private lounges, a selection of world-class restaurants, and an exclusive shopping mall.

Robert Boyle, Commercial Director at British Airways said, "British Airways' customers buying these first tickets for Terminal 5 will have the chance to be part of this once in a lifetime opportunity."

"The new terminal will transform the flying experience for millions of British Airways' customers. The entire airport experience at Terminal 5 has been designed to make the ground journey faster, smoother and simpler. It will exceed the best you can find at any other airport."

BA will begin the first stage of its complex move from the airport’s current four terminals to its new flagship headquarters at the end of March 2008, and should be completed by October that year.

London’s Heathrow Airport is the world’s busiest international airport.
