Singapore Airlines has dominated the latest Business Travel Awards ceremony, picking up a number of awards for its flights and services.
The carrier scooped the 'Best Airline In The World' title, along with awards for its economy class, international travel and in-flight food offerings, after readers of Business Traveler Magazine voted overwhelmingly in favour of the airline .
The classy carrier made the headlines recently after becoming the first airline to use the Airbus A380 on a commercial air route towards the end of October.
The awards ceremony also recognised Korean Air, Etihad, Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines for their range of business class flights and other services .
Ken Bright of Singapore Airlines commented: "The overall business class market has gone upscale in the last few years. Today's business class is as good as our first class was ten years ago."
Other winners at the event included Singapore Changi, which picked up the title of 'Best Airport In The World', while Marriott won the award of 'Best Hotel Chain In The World'.
