Regional airline Flybe has unveiled its summer 2008 schedule, with over seven million seats going on sale and 23 new routes being launched in its UK and European network .
The carrier, which claims to be Europe's largest regional airline, will be offering nine additional routes from Cardiff, Inverness and the Isle of Man, which it described as a "major investment" in these destinations .
England's south-west will also see development, with new services from Newquay to Barcelona, Birmingham and Glasgow among others and flights from Exeter to Dubrovnik, Brussels, Inverness and Aberdeen .
A dozen new services will be launched from the airlines four Scottish bases in Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, while Belfast passengers will be offered a non-stop link to Paris .
Flybe said the network offers a "comprehensive selection" of connections to popular business and leisure destinations across Britain and Europe .
"The all new summer schedule for 2008 sees Flybe continuing to grow across the UK and Europe with a large number of new routes on sale," said chief commercial officer Mike Rutter.
"The latest routes show us cementing our position as Europe's largest regional carrier in key areas, building Flybe into a bigger and stronger airline with a long-term commitment to offering sustainable, reliable and convenient travel to our passengers."
