An increasing number of travellers are expected to head to Dubai for their holidays this year, according to an industry expert.
Leading boutique travel and leisure consultancy Globalysis claims that international visitor arrivals into the United Arab Emirates capital will grow at a rate of 8 per cent during 2008.
"The performance of Dubais travel and leisure sector in 2008 has been favourable and the outlook moving forward remains bright," said Globalysis member Jason Pereira.
"The combination of increased airline service to Dubai and high-quality tourism offerings is attracting the globally minded leisure tourist and sophisticated business traveller," he added.
A Globalysis report continued to describe Dubai as a "dynamic" destination that offers tourists a whole range of hotel options as well as "tourist-orientated luxury retail facilities".
