Heathrow airport's much Terminal 5 has received a welcomed a boost with the opening of a British Airways exclusive business class check-in area.
Business class passengers, who have checked in online up to 24 hours prior to their flight, can travel to the dedicated zone to use self-service kiosks and drop off their luggage.
Paul Nickson, Terminal 5s customer experience manager, said that more than 7 million passengers have already flown in and out of the new terminal and that capacity was set to be increased.
"We're looking forward to moving a further 30 long-haul flights into the terminal on 17 September," he added.
"This increased capacity means that even more business class customers are flying through Terminal 5 so it's a good time to introduce the dedicated zone."
The new business class check-in zone is located at zone H of Terminal 5 next to BAs first-class check-in area.
In related news, mobile phone operator T-Mobile recently announced plans turn Terminal 5 into its largest UK Wi-Fi hotspot, meaning that travellers will have full access to the internet while at the terminal via their laptops, phones and other digital devices.
