The UKs troubled travel industry has claimed yet another victim, with tour operator K&S Travel being forced into administration just days after the major collapse of the XL Leisure Group.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said the north-London based travel firm ceased trading on Saturday night, leaving 150 passengers in Bodrum, Turkey, seeking alternative flights home .
The CAA said most customers with the holiday firm were covered by its Air Travel Organisers' Licensing (ATOL) scheme and would be returned to the UK on re-chartered flights from Onur.
"We will be organising for those people affected to complete their holiday as planned and come back to the UK as planned," a spokesman for the regulator confirmed.
The CAA is currently in the process of rescuing thousands of holidaymakers left stranded abroad by the collapse of the XL Leisure Group.
It added that approximately 460 holidaymakers with a future booking with K&S Holidays will be forced to change their holiday plans, but will be entitled to a full refund under the ATOL protection scheme.
K&S Travel, which also trades under the name Travel Turkey, specialised in package tours to the Turkish mainland, flying its customers on chartered flights on Onur Air .
