Holidaymakers and travellers from London are being offered the chance to speed up their flight departure process by checking in at Paddington Station .
New self-service ticket machines have been installed at the train terminal which allow airline passengers catching flights from Heathrow Airport to check in early and print off their boarding passes before taking the 15-minute train journey to Heathrow .
Once they reach their terminal, passengers can then skip the check-in procedure and head straight to the relevant boarding gate.
Heathrow Express, the train company that operates the high-speed rail service between Paddington and Heathrow, said the new initiative is aimed at making the whole travel experience more efficient and less stressful for people flying from the UKs largest airport.
It explained: "Heathrow Airport may be the busiest airport in the country, but you can avoid long queues by checking-in before you get there."
The fast check-in service is currently only available to passengers flying from London Heathrow with United Airlines, Iberia Airlines and Delta Airlines .
However, a number of other big-name carriers, such as British Airways, are expected to be added to the service early next year.
