British travellers have been offered some advice on the best countries to visit in 2010.
Travel advice and information company Lonely Planet has released its Best in Travel 2010 guide, which urges holidaymakers to make a trip to at least one of the top ten destinations for next year, chosen by Lonely Planet's global team.
The 2010 must-see list includes Malaysia, New Zealand, Morocco, El Salvador, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Nepal, Suriname and the US .
George Hickton, chief executive of Tourism New Zealand, said the country inclusion in the latest Lonely Planet publication is "an astonishing result" considering the competition from "established and emerging tourism destinations ".
He added: "New Zealand's ability to continue to compete with hot new destinations is a testament to the country's desire to deliver a great tourism experience, its innovation in creating new tourism products and its drive to improve its environmental performance."
Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2010 guidebook also includes top ten lists of the best regions, cities and value destinations to visit in the coming year, as well as some of the best and most inspirational things to experience around the globe in 2010.
