Nambia has been named the globes number one country at the 2010 Wanderlust Travel Awards.
The African nation claimed the top county award after receiving an overall score of 95.1 per cent from readers of Wanderlust Travel magazine.
Second place in the country section went to Oman, with New Zealand, Australia and Laos completing the top five.
Luang Prabang in Laos was voted by readers as the best city with a rating of 94.7 per cent, closely followed by Siena, Berlin, Seville and Kyoto .
In the airports section, Singapore Changi, Hong Kong International and Vancouver claimed came first, second and third respectively, while London City was named the UKs leading aviation hub for the fifth year in a row.
The airport received an overall score of 85 per cent, placing it ahead of Southampton Airport and Newcastle Airport.
The award for best airline went to Singapore Airlines, with Etihad Airways claiming the runners-up spot and Air New Zealand coming third. Virgin Atlantic was the only British carrier to feature in the top ten, coming in eighth place.
